Evaporation

Shows a beaker with a mixture of solid and liquid in it. Another beaker has a funnel with some filter paper in.

 Crystallization

Filtration

Filtration is any of various mechanical, physical or biological operations that separate solids from fluids (liquids or gases) by adding a medium through which only the fluid can pass. The fluid that passes through is called the filtrate.

Simple Distillation

Fractional Distillation

Paper Chromatography

This is good for separating dissolved substances that have different colours, such as inks and plant dyes. It works because some o1f the coloured substances dissolve in the liquid better than others, so they travel further up the paper.
