Before we explore separating techniques we have to be reminded that it is important to take care when doing experiments: handling chemicals and so on. Refusal to take care in being careful may not only cause danger to ones self  but cause danger to your class mates.

Ms. Allison Classroom Lesson 3 Evaporation   Crystallization Filtration Filtration  is any of various mechanical, physical or biological operations that separate solids from fluids (liquids or gases) by adding a medium through which only the fluid can pass. The fluid that passes through is called the  filtrate . Simple Distillation Fractional Distillation Paper Chromatography  This is good for separating dissolved substances that have different colours, such as inks and plant dyes. It works because some o1f the coloured substances dissolve in the liquid better than others, so they travel further up the paper.
